Introduction to Golden Technologies Lift Chairs

As we age or face injury in our lives it may become increasingly more difficult to transition from sitting to standing position. If you face this issue due to aging, injury, handicap, or surgery a lift chair may be the right tool for you. Here at Suncoast Mobility, we offer a variety of lift chairs and we do our best to match our clients with the best one for their specific needs. Lift chairs have the look and comfort of a recliner but offer a wide variety of styles, sizes, and features to assist those with limited mobility. Lift chairs can be categorized by 2, 3, or infinite position options. It can be an overwhelming process choosing the correct chair and features but this article will help narrow down your options.

Size and Weight Capacity

One of the most important things to consider when buying your new lift chair is the size and weight capacity needed. Our lift recliners range from small, medium, large, wide, and bariatric options. Our bariatric options have weight capacities up to 500 pounds to ensure the safe and comfortable use by clients of any size.

Positions

Lift recliners typically come in 3 position options; 2,3, or infinite positions. 2 position lift chairs are typically a more affordable option. They offer the lifting option but the recline positions are limited. The back and footrest are controlled simultaneously. 3 Position lift chairs offer extra features for comfort and can recline to a completely horizontal position. Infinite position lift chairs are top of the line. The back and footrest can be controlled independently from one another. These units allow for the most comfort and more additional features. These are the most costly but are beneficial for those who spend a lot of time in their chair. Infinite position lift chair reclines further and is closest to a standing position. These allow for maximum comfort.

Fabric

Although your first thought would be to choose a color that fits your living room aesthetic there are many more factors to give thought to. There are options that are more durable, stain-resistant, scratch-resistant, easy to disinfect, soft, and/or temperature controlled. Depending on your lifestyle, whether you have pets or children, the amount of time spent in your lift recliner, and other factors you may want to give extra consideration to the fabric you choose.

Extra Features

Besides the different positions lift chairs offer you can also customize fabrics, weight capacity, colors, heat and massage options. Heat and massage is great for those who struggle with arthritis or back pain. Fabric options offer more than aesthetic but can effect breathability, stain resistance and comfort.

Budget

Along with all the extra added features often comes added cost. Create a budget and give us a call and one of our experts at Suncoast Mobility would be happy to help you decide which options work best for you.
